It’s time to stand with the Earth.
Helen Russ Ph.D.
Our Actions have an impact
To be a positive force on Earth we need to be consciously and experientially aware that we share our place with other forms of life.
My work is about developing a conscious active relationship with ourselves, with the groups we participate in and with the places we live.
- Individuals to help them be the most they can be.
- Organizations to awaken the collective spirit. I’ve developed a language and a model to enable us to develop an active conscious relationship with the spirit of the organization.
- Spirit of place. Organizations like people exist in a place. Landforms, trees, energy wells, subtle earth meridians all effect our inner harmony and therefore the smooth functioning of us and of the organisations we are part of.
I grew up with the red and black soils between the Macquarie and Castlereagh Rivers in central western NSW. It is here on these vast dry plains that I developed a relationship with land and the subtle energies of place.
I have an undergraduate degree in Systems Agriculture, majoring in environmental community development. Following ten years in the Landcare movement, I realised that the source of the dysfunction in the world is on the inside, it is within our psyche. So in 1999 I began to study and practice the techniques of a meditation school exploring the landscape of consciousness within the western esoteric tradition. I felt that to clean up the world, perhaps the best place to begin was with myself.
My Ph.D is in the spirit of organizations which I discovered are inseparable from the spirit of place.
I have two published books, ‘Experiences of Grace‘ which shares experiences of meditation and transformation.
My second book is titled, ‘Across the Creek, land energy experiences in the home paddock‘. It shares my journey exploring the spirit of place at my home property, Booroola.
Working with
sourcing | reflection | awareness
meditation | connection
experiential learning
I rest on the philosophy of Plato’s and many others who suggest that the creation emerged from ‘The One’. The life flowing through you, is the same life flowing through me in a different form. If you want to find solutions to earthly dilemmas look for the source.
We do not solve the problem from the level of the problem.
My experience suggests that every form has a higher mode and lower mode of expression and that we can transcend the polarity of dualism with aspiration. There is always a higher truth that embodies the whole. I also believe that it is the intrinsic desire for all beings is to realise their highest potential. The most extraordinary life emerges when we hold each moment towards the most that can be.
If you’d like to work with me it might be a bit wild, but it will be awakening, open, full of light and fun.
I’ve often struggled to find language to define meditative experiences and practices, and I appreciate the theoretical framework provided by Dr. Helen Russ in her Lexion class, and the way my understanding of what she teaches deepened after experiencing the practices. I gained a new understanding around the power of the human heart and conscious will in maintaining the integrity of an organization, and a new awareness of the levels of consciousness at play within the development and maintenance of an organization, as well creative projects. I’m looking forward to seeing how the knowledge and experienced gained in this class will play out in my work and life.
What Helen brings is fascinating. In 8 sessions we were able to tune into many companies and groups such as a restaurant, hospital, non profit organizations and a crypto currency company. Each had distinctly different flavors. We were able to feel their greater purpose and where they have been falling from this purpose. With more sessions on an organization, it is easy to see how with Helen’s technique an organization can be re-aligned. Personally I found myself shifting in this course as my sight expanded and my own self growth grew exponentially with Helen’s approach of awareness, meditation and awakening.
As soon as I held your book, the sensual black cover of Across The Creek immersed me in the numinous experiences that you reveal through your story. At first the black cover and then the Aboriginal Women in conversation, emerge. It’s beautiful, subtle and yet direct. Like the content of the book.
At Booroola, while you were writing on the spirit of organisations you lived the reality of the spirit, the driving forces, the light, within the land itself and listened to the knowing of all those who are present in it. I love the way you take the reader through an awareness of the multiple layers of reality. You not only take us across the creek, you take us on a journey through streams of consciousness that lift the veils of space and time. You peal away the layers that distract you from yourself. You see and map different dimensions and deeper realms of wisdom that are shared with you… And you have found a way in your beautiful artwork to show them to us.
You have such a down to earth way of leading us through the portals to land energies and the wisdom of the knowledge keepers. We get to see how you ask profound questions and then show us the raw experiences on the way towards understanding. The things that shaped you, shaped us.
You reveal the impact of a disconnect that underpinned the early settler’s misunderstanding of the land.
At the same time you reveal the far greater light within the land and within the people who KNOW they are part of it (and have been custodians of it for aeons). The keys you have given to subtle energy mapping will help others listen, to be receptive to what is.
I feel your book is a book of healing. A way for others to turn towards the inner realms of the Self and so, to know the world.
Perhaps with the help of the Wise Women, maybe heal it.
All the best creative woman for a very profound and joyful book launch
Michele💕❤️❤️
May the WOMEN be with you
Good Morning Earth Us Community,
So much love! Receiving from Helen’s meditation this morning. I am seeing, feeling, knowing the awareness that is knowing human consciousness. Which holds the potential for being human consciousness sublime. Loving, compassionate, grateful, generous, wise and kind. A divine garment clothing, embracing awareness innate. Combine-essence-ing with all forms of consciousness, both organic and inorganic upon this biodiverse living being we call our mother. This blessed Earth! Together weaving our collective consciousness into her own evolving consciousness. She speaks to me through the leaves, the trees, the skies, air and waters, the winged birds, beasts, elementals and nature spirits. I am swinging on a vertical thread, plumb bob hooked to the skies above, the stars, cosmos, galaxies, angels and Gods above. White light, living cosmic fire! The breath of God! Centres within centres, fiery light descends into my bodies. I become a conduit for the spirit descending, flowing into this world. Sparking awakening. Wake up people! Life force scintillates with sparkling joy. Belly alive with a burning rage. Respect her! Gravity drawing down through Dragon Fires and Molten Lava Seas, chaos remembers the dawn of creation. Naga Kings remember well! All in her belly/heart below. Gravity drawing me in, holding me close to her nurturing breast. I melt, dissolve, become one with her. She! Breathes fire! Save us from ourselves! Millions of voices whispering in tongues, “The answer lies within! All of us together!” Much Love, Alfred
We are lucky to have storyteller, Helen Russ, in our lives, for the depth of Life that she leads me and others towards. Have courage and read, fall deeply into the world that Helen brings us in, Across the Creek, if you dare. Anything that helps us fall more in Love with our planet and our souls is worthwhile.
Day 5
This is the first ‘live’ I caught, connecting to the core of the Earth, my body remembering “I am this”, a sense of wonder “How could I forget?” and relief “I feel home”. The simple third eye technique reminding me that “I am”. It is Inspiring to meditate, albeit briefly, with a group online, I wasn’t sure if it would work in any meaningful way. It did. Helen’s approach is inviting, she is cognizant of other traditions and respected that each person may have their own way of going inside, while at the same time gently bringing us to a state of consciousness beyond the mind.
